Is your AI Vibe Coding assistant lagging behind the curve?
Ritesh Kanjee aka. Ritz here, founder of Augmented AI. It's been a while since my last email, since I've been really busy vibe coding.
Following our pre-launch discussions back in March, one challenge stood out clearly: the struggle to keep AI development assistants current while vibe coding. The pace of innovation in Generative AI and Computer Vision is relentless, yet the LLMs we rely on often operate with a knowledge cut-off.
Have you encountered this? You ask for help with a new model or library (like YOLOv12, Google's ADK or OpenAI Agents with MCP), perhaps for a recent Computer Vision (Roboflows RF-DETR) model or using and updated Generative AI model (CrewAI, RAG frameworks), and the response is based on outdated information.
It might generate code that fails, reference deprecated methods, or simply misunderstand the context of the latest tools.
The worst from my experience is hallucinations. Where it generates code that is completely wrong... A LIE!
This isn't just a minor inconvenience; it's a significant drag on productivity. You're focused on building next-generation solutions, maybe utilizing intuitive methods in your vibe-coding, but your AI dev assistant is referencing an old playbook.
It forces you into time-consuming debugging cycles for issues that shouldn't exist if the underlying knowledge were current.
At Augmented AI, we believe developers deserve tools that match the speed of the field. Closing this gap between static LLM training and real-time advancements became our primary objective.
We've been focusing closely on the computer vision and generative AI space, since that's what we've been practicing for a while now.
Tomorrow, I'll delve into how we tackled this – specifically, why we opted for a MCP-based approach integrated directly into your existing development environment (Cursor & Windsurf), rather than building yet another standalone application.
