Building a Telegram AI Assistant

The bottleneck

Every entrepreneur drowns in admin work. Emails, calendars, files, status updates. Each task small, but together? They steal entire days.

I wanted an assistant that actually handled the grunt work—not another app that added more to my plate.

The foundation I built

In 10 minutes, I had the first version running in n8n. No fancy stack. Just the essentials:

• Telegram Bot — built in BotFather, always reachable
• Webhook + Router — routes text and images separately
• Orchestrator Agent — core manager that thinks before acting
• Simple Memory Buffer — remembers the last 50 exchanges
• Auto Logging — everything tracked (timestamps, tokens, output)

What it can do today

Right now, it’s lean but powerful:

• Holds context of our conversations
• Pauses to reason before responding
• Logs every message and token for cost visibility

What’s next

Instead of automating everything at once, I’m layering tools in order:

• Calendar Integration — schedule meetings in-chat, auto-reschedule when conflicts appear
• Email Agent — draft replies in my voice, sort spam vs priority, clear the inbox
• Drive + Notion Access — pull up docs instantly, update project statuses, fetch old files
• Content Agent — generate videos, edit images, draft LinkedIn posts directly from chat

Each tool slots into the orchestrator. One interface, multiple agents, zero extra apps.

The bigger goal

I’m not just building an assistant. I’m building an extension of myself.

One day, maybe even a business-in-a-box. For now, it’s augmentation—an AI that handles the noise so I can focus on leverage.
