How I automated 90% of my video scripting, cutting half-day work to 10 minutes with AI.

Jul 23, 2025

For months, my content pipeline felt like a machine I was constantly fighting.

It was loud, clunky, and always demanding more attention than I had the energy to give. I’d storyboard an idea in one tool, jump to another to generate images, use a third for voiceovers, and then a fourth to stitch it all together.

Each task had its own login, its own workflow, and its own frustrating delays.

Even with AI in the mix, the process was still fundamentally broken. It was a collection of powerful but disconnected parts, and I was the overworked human glue holding it all together. A single 60-second video could mean juggling five different platforms and losing 3–4 hours just to context switching

Tell me if this sounds familiar in your organization: you invest in the latest tools, but your output doesn’t increase. Your team is busy, but not productive. You’re doing more things, but not achieving more results.

That was my reality. I was stuck in what I now call Level 2 of AI Automation — using individual tools but lacking a cohesive system.

The Question That Changed Everything

I didn’t set out to build a new platform.

The change started with a simple, frustrating question born from a week of missed deadlines and mismatched edits. I stopped and asked myself:

“What would it look like if I never had to manually create another video again — but still felt proud of the output?”

The reframe was subtle but profound. The goal wasn’t just to use AI to make tasks easier. The goal was to build an integrated system that could run the entire process from start to finish.

This shift in perspective is the critical leap from Level 2 (Automating Processes) to Level 3 (Scaling Departments). It’s about moving from being an operator of tools to an architect of systems.

That’s where the foundation for Animatic began. It’s the stack I built to solve my own problem — a production line that lets me go from a single idea to a published, high-quality video without the chaos.

The Animatic Stack: My 3-Part Video Production Line

Animatic isn’t a single piece of software. It’s a framework for combining best-in-class AI into a seamless workflow. It’s the system that finally quieted my noisy content engine.

Here’s how it works.

1. The Scripting & Storyboarding Core (Powered by Gemini)

  • The biggest bottleneck in content creation is often the blank page. My system had to solve this first.
  • I use Google’s Gemini models as the intelligent core for scripting. I can feed it a simple topic, a raw transcript, or a link to an article, and it generates a complete, production-ready script. It outlines the narrative, writes the voiceover, and even suggests visual scenes for each segment.
  • The business benefit: This eliminates 90% of the upfront creative work. What used to take half a day of brainstorming and writing now takes less than 10 minutes. We can test dozens of video ideas in the time it used to take to create one.

2 . The Cinematic Scene Creator (Powered by Kling, VEO, etc.)

  • Once the script is ready, the system needs to create the visuals.
  • This layer plugs into state-of-the-art video generation models like Kling 2.1 or Google’s VEO. These models can take a text prompt from the script and generate a dynamic, cinematic video clip up to two minutes long.
  • This is crucial. Unlike older models that could only produce short, 5-second clips, this capability allows us to create entire product demos, detailed training modules, or compelling advertisements, not just social media snippets. It maintains character consistency and understands complex motion, delivering professional-grade footage without a camera crew.
  • The business benefit: We’ve slashed our production costs by over 80%. There are no studio rentals, no camera crews, and no location scouting. We can generate high-quality, 4K video content for any marketing campaign on demand.

 3. The Automated Post-Production

  • The final step is assembly. This is where most workflows break down, forcing you into a manual editing suite.
  • My system uses a programmatic approach with tools like MoviePy. It automatically takes the generated video scenes, combines them in the correct sequence, lays the studio-quality AI voiceover on top, and adds perfectly timed captions.
  • The business benefit: This removes the final human bottleneck. The entire post-production process is automated. We can produce a week’s worth of high-quality video content in a single morning, allowing us to 10x our content output without hiring a single new person.

This is what a Level 3 system looks like. This is all about building an intelligent production line that delivers predictable, scalable, and high-quality results. It’s how you move from being busy to being effective.
