 Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI, revealed on the Bill Gates Unconfuse Me podcast that GPT-5, OpenAI’s next-generation large language model, will have better reasoning capabilities, improved accuracy, and video support. GPT-5 is expected to be a significant improvement over GPT-4, particularly in its ability to understand complex queries and the real world. It will be fully multimodal with speech, image, code, and video support.

🎙️🎶 Meta’s Audiobox: The AI that can mimic your voice and make any sound you want 🎶🎙️

Meta Platforms, the parent company of Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp and Oculus VR has released its own free voice cloning program, Audiobox. It can generate voices and sound effects using a combination of voice inputs and natural language text prompts. Audiobox is described as a “new foundation research model for audio generation” built atop its earlier work in this area, Voicebox.

• 🎤 Audiobox is a voice cloning program developed by Meta Platforms, the parent company of Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp and Oculus VR.
• 🤖 It can generate voices and sound effects using a combination of voice inputs and natural language text prompts.
• 📝 Users can type in a sentence that they want a cloned voice to say, or a description of a sound they want to generate, and Audiobox will do the rest.
• 🌎 Audiobox was trained on publicly available and licensed datasets, including 160K hours of speech (primarily English), 20K hours of music and 6K hours of sound samples.
• 📜 Meta has also released a host of interactive demos, including one that lets you record the audio of the user speaking about a sentence’s worth of text and replicates their voice.
